Interview: Alexandria Van Sickle

Groover Labs is fortunate to have truly remarkable members, many of whom are forging their own professional paths, and we wanted to interview them in a way that properly reflects their creativity.

Meet Alexandria Van Sickle!

1. In 50 words or fewer, what do you do?

I build intelligent systems using advanced AI to simplify operations, automate tasks, and deliver tailored software. Our solutions streamline business management and give teams clear insights without the manual lift, whether they’re scaling or just working smarter.

2. What got you in the door at Groover Labs?

I was drawn to the creative energy and entrepreneurial spirit. Groover Labs felt like the right space to surround myself with other innovators while growing a product rooted in real-world impact.

3. Early bird or night owl – and what are you doing during those hours?

Night owl. My best ideas tend to show up after hours, usually when I’m refining product features, answering client questions, or sketching out new concept ideas.

4. 3D Printer, laser cutter, or pencil – and what would you make?

Pencil. Everything starts with a sketch, whether it’s a feature flow, brand idea, or system map. There’s something about pencil-to-paper that helps me clear mental clutter and explore big ideas quickly.

5. Flying there or driving there – with music, podcasts, or audiobooks?

Flying there with a mix of business podcasts and music depending on my current mood.

6. Lo-fi, no-fi, or full-fi – how do you like to work?

Lo-fi or full-fi depending on the day. When I need focus, I love lo-fi beats. When I’m in build mode or presenting, full-fi energy helps drive the momentum.

7. What’s one problem you’d love to solve?

Bridging the gap between powerful AI tools and the people who need them most, especially small and mid-sized teams who don’t have the luxury of tech departments or big budgets.

8. What’s something about you that people wouldn’t expect?

I’ve been apart of building our startup while being completely self-taught in tech. I have no traditional background in AI or coding. Just a lot of late nights, learning curves, and persistence.

9. Fiction, non-fiction, business/leadership, motivation, other?

Business and motivation. I gravitate toward content that helps me think sharper and lead better, anything from atomic habits to AI ethics.
