Are you looking for an in-person 3D printing class in Wichita? Are you in the market for a 3D printer but not sure where to start? Do you already have some experience with 3D printing but want to build your skill level? If the answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then our in-person 4-week 3D Printing and Open Studio class is for you.
Join Gemma Blackburn, bookbinding enthusiast and Groover Labs member, as she takes us through step by step instructions on how to make your own stab bound book.
Groover Labs Community Associate and local artist Amy Huser will teach you how to set up a small tapestry loom, weave different patterns, and make a finished piece of art! All materials are provided, but feel free to bring any yarns you’d like to include in your weaving.
The instructor will give an overview of the laser cutter, including types of operations and materials. Students will customize and complete a small project under the instructor’s guidance. Those who complete this class and become makerspace members will be able to use a Groover Labs laser cutter to complete projects of their own.
Our large maker and prototyping space features advanced tools for printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, large format laser cutting, various forms of 3D printing, as well as wood and metal work. Classes for the wood, metal, and electronics shops are coming soon.
